Recipe for crispy fried onions like restaurants
Crispy fried onions are a great option for serving with a hamburger and can be a good addition to a variety of dishes. In addition, these crispy breadcrumbs can be served with breadcrumbs as a snack or appetizer. Crispy fried onions are relatively easy to prepare and do not take more than half an hour from the beginning to the end. The important point is that the onions are dipped in the dough twice, in this way, after frying, their coating becomes very crispy, and the sweet and excellent onions find a unique taste in the middle of this crispy layer.
Ingredients for crispy fried onions
- One large yellow onion
- 1-cup milk
- White vinegar 1 tbsp.
- Yogurt 1/2 cup
- 1-cup white flour
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Garlic powder 1 tsp
- Enough frying oil
- To make easy breadcrumbs:
- Mayonnaise 1/3 cup
- Ketchup sauce 3 tbsp.
- Spicy sauce as desired
How to prepare crispy fried onions
Deep-frying is required to make crispy fried onions. So if you have a fryer, use it. Otherwise, pour 2-3 cm of suitable frying oil into a pot and let it heat over a medium flame.
Peel an onion and cut it into 1 cm thick rings. Separate the onion rings.
In a medium bowl, combine milk and vinegar and leave for 5 minutes. Then mix the yogurt with this liquid. In another bowl, add white flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and mix.
Now dip the onion rings one by one in the yogurt mixture. Then take it out with a fork and roll it in the flour mixture. Repeat these two steps. That is, dip it in yogurt again and then roll it in flour. Put the prepared onions in a dish.
When the oil is hot enough, put 3-4 onions (or any number that fits in the pot) in the oil and let, they fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp and golden. Place the prepared crispy onion on a towel to remove excess oil and then serve with light breadcrumbs.
To make breadcrumbs, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and hot sauce. You can increase or decrease the amount of ketchup and hot sauce to your liking.
