Tools you need
- Griddle: You’ll need a nonstick griddle or an electric griddle to cook homemade pancakes. The most crucial thing to remember is to keep your griddle from becoming too overcrowd.
- Pyrex mixing bowls: These Pyrex mixing bowls are long-lasting and perfect for baking.
- Batter Dispenser: Do you want your pancakes to be perfectly shaped? You’ll need a pancake batter dispenser!
- Spatula: This wide, flexible spatula is great for quickly flipping pancakes.
Step 1: Combine the wet ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Whisk together the dairy-free milk, oil, ground flaxseed, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract in a medium mixing dish.
Step 2: Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Whisk together the flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate large mixing basin.
Step 3: Mix the batter.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients dish and whisk until everything is well incorporated. Make sure you don’t overmix the batter! Allow at least 5 minutes for the batter to rest.

Tips for making Vegan Pancakes
How to make fluffy pancakes
Reduce the amount of dairy-free milk if you want fluffier pancakes. Add a tablespoon or two more if you want your pancakes thinner.
How to make healthier pancakes
Replace white flour with wheat flour to produce nutritious pancakes. You may need to add a little more liquid, but it’s still excellent. Folding fruit into the batter is another technique to make your pancakes healthier. Fresh fruit can be added on top, and real maple syrup can be used instead of pancake syrup.
Varieties of Vegan Pancakes
Use your favorite unsweetened non-dairy milk instead of dairy milk. Almond milk, soy milk, or homemade oat milk are some of my favorites.
Oil: I usually use melted refined coconut oil or vegetable oil, but melted vegan butter, canola oil, or avocado oil are also good options.
Apple cider vinegar: A vegan buttermilk can be made by mixing apple cider vinegar with milk.
