How to make cheese chicken calzone
Set the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Drop greaseproof paper on the bottom of an oven tray. Sprinkle a little flour on your work surface. Divide the pizza dough into 4 parts, then open each piece with a rolling pin and cut into circles about 17 cm in diameter.
Pour ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated garlic, chopped onion, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a bowl and mix. Add cooked and chopped chicken and mix with ingredients.
Pour 1/4 of the ingredients on half of one of the doughs and spread it at a distance of 1-2 cm from the edges. Pour the mozzarella cheese over the ingredients. Fold the other side of the dough over the ingredients to form a semicircle. Then roll the edges of the dough by hand until the edges are completely sealed.
Prepare the other three doughs in the same way. Place the calzones in the oven tray at intervals. Brush a little melted butter on them, and then sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan cheese on them.
Place the tray in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted, toasted, and golden on the calzones. Take out the calzones and serve with marinara sauce.
